Dowry System In India

Hello everyone,

Burning woman

So today i want to share my opinion about the ancient system of forcefully taking or asking for money from the girls side in marriages i.e., dowry system. And probably this happens only in India. No other country has reported any case of dowry. Is not it ridiculous that we Indian think that a girl is just a piece of garbage who can be thrown out of the house anytime and is treated as a huge responsibility. Actually its mentality of the Indian parents that son is the only one who can ascend their  upcoming clan and daughters are treated as a curse. I just don't understand why is it so. Maybe just because girls after their marriage leaves their parent's house and go in another one but son stays with them forever. But let me tell to every parents and families who keep this type of thinking, nowadays, we can see very clearly that even sons are also getting settled in big metro cities ,far from their families same as daughters .So where does the difference lies. Are not the both equal? actually the problem lies in the mentality and that is the only reason why girls are treated as bane and boys are treated as boon by the society.

Even today also this kind of situation is prevailing in many parts of India. And  without dowry if a girl comes then in some families they burn the girl. Does that make any sense ? no like seriously are they human being?

We can see glimpse of dowry system in Indian movies also ,like in one of Alia Bhatt' s  movie '2 states' ,

At last i would say that my main purpose of writing this blog is to make everyone realize that dowry system is very critical issue ,which need to be think upon and whose solution is not known to anyone although our respected government has restricted such ill practices and declared it illegal but still after knowing all these laws also, this practice is still prevailing. So we really need to think upon it.
